Ron Smith

Ron Smith, a seasoned staffing executive with over 30 years experience in the industry, co-founded SNI Companies in September of 1998. Smith’s career began at Massey Ferguson, where he was a financial analyst for two years. He then moved to a large international staffing and recruiting firm where he ultimately owned six franchises. After selling his franchises to a large international staffing and recruiting firm in 1988, Smith was promoted to Regional Manager and integrated 20 locations for a large international staffing and recruiting firm.

Upon leaving a large international staffing and recruiting firm in 1992, Smith continued his entrepreneurial efforts by founding Staffing Edge, Inc., a specialty staffing firm focused on temporary and full-time placement in the fields of accounting, information technology, engineering, legal, sales, high-end office clerical, insurance and banking. Staffing Edge generated $36 million in annual revenue within its first six years of operations, earning recognition by Inc. Magazine as the 17th fastest growing private company in the United States. In 1998, Smith’s efforts with Staffing Edge also earned him recognition as Entrepreneur of the Year for the Nebraska/Iowa Regions from Ernst & Young. Smith sold Staffing Edge in 1998 to ACSYS, Inc. and shortly thereafter co-founded SNI Companies.


Pete Langlois

Pete Langlois

Pete brings many years of experience in all aspects of staffing and consulting to his role. His mission is to keep the company ahead of trends, enhance brand recognition, and establish best practices and deliver consistent revenue growth for the company. Pete has a long history of hiring, training, and retaining top talent while simultaneously delivering positive business results. Many current staffing industry leaders recognize Pete as a mentor as he has wide range of experience in technology, accounting/finance, administrative/clerical, and legal staffing. Through the years, Pete has placed many qualified candidates in temporary and consulting engagements, temp-to-perm, contract-to-hire, and direct placement.

Pete comes to SNI Companies with a proven record of building successful consulting practices from the ground up. During his eight year tenure with a large international staffing and recruiting firm, Pete took an underperforming IT consulting business in Florida to a perennial, world-wide Top 10 producing division. Pete earned the distinguished President's Club award for his performance and was also recognized as the number one, top performing Branch Manager and received the Chairman’s Club award. Pete was a multi-million dollar producer and held the titles of Division Director, Branch Manager of Professional Staffing Services, Branch Manager of Consulting Services, Vice President and Regional Manager, and Vice President of Major Accounts while at a large international staffing and recruiting firm.

Pete went on to launch a very successful technology practice for Solomon Page Technology Partners that achieved profitability within months of inception. Pete has also developed Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS); managed large Training & Development departments; and facilitated the Dale Carnegie courses in Human Relations and Sales.


Larry Mims

Regional Vice President of Permanent Operations

Larry Mims

Regional Vice President of Permanent Operations, has 20+ years of progressively responsible leadership, executive recruiting, financial operations and public accounting experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University in 1988 and passed the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam. Larry began his career with Deloitte & Touche in 1989 where he was both an audit and tax professional working with large publicly-traded companies for five years. Subsequent to leaving Deloitte he worked as Director of Tax & Risk Management for The Haskell Company, a large, privately-held design / build / real estate development firm.

During his tenure at Deloitte and Haskell he had a broad range of responsibilities including client service, financial audits, tax compliance & tax strategy, general accounting operations, supporting the operations teams and strategic risk management. His experience over the last 12 years within the employment industry includes leadership and executive recruiting in the disciplines of Finance & Accounting, Banking, Administrative, Technology and Legal. He is a strong leader with a track record of success in building Direct Hire and Executive Placements recruiting teams. Larry believes in rolling his sleeves up, driving the business and leading by example. He works directly with C-level Executives, Vice Presidents, Directors, Controllers, Human Resource professionals and other Decision Makers towards developing business partnerships as a valued resource in providing strategic talent management and staffing solutions, Larry is well networked within the Executive Recruiting and Financial industries.


Laurie Knafo

Regional Vice President of Florida and the Tri-State Regions

Laurie Knafo

Laurie has been in the staffing industry for over 30 years. She started her career as a permanent placement recruiter for Dunhill Staffing and was consistently one of the organizations top producers. Laurie has mastered a variety of roles in the staffing industry including hands on production, business development and retention, staff training and motivation and area management. Her career success has been built on long term relationships with both clients and candidates, a laser focus on providing value and superior delivery of skills and service. She joined SNI Companies in 2001 and is responsible for 6 offices from Philadelphia, PA to Springfield, MA. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College.


Moe Harrison

Regional Vice President Texas and Minneapolis

Moe Harrison

Moe graduated with a degree in Finance from Baylor University. He began his recruiting career with the Dallas office of The Lucas Group where he earned President's Club Honors as a producer and managed the direct hire division. He later joined Robert Half International in the accounting and finance search division and was a top producer in the Dallas office. Moe helped launch Q&A Recruiting in Texas as one of the three original partners in 1998, which was acquired by SNI Companies in 2007. In 2010, Moe began to head-up the Accounting Now and SNI Financial brands in the Minneapolis market. In addition, he oversees all operations for Dallas and Houston.


Darren Benoit

Regional Vice President / National Practice Director, SNI Certes

Darren Benoit

Darren Benoit graduated with a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, and began his career with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in accounting and corporate finance roles throughout the United States. He also worked at Pillsbury (General Mills) and Dental Services Group in various corporate finance capacities, including Director of Finance.

After earning his M.B.A. in Marketing and Strategy from the Carlson School of Management, Benoit joined a fledgling project staffing and consulting firm in Minneapolis. As the firm’s first non-founder employee, Darren wore many different hats throughout the company’s rapid growth from zero to $47 million in annual revenue in just six years. From there he has been involved as a founder in six incremental, and very successful, consulting industry start-ups.

Darren joined SNI in early 2014 to run its senior level finance contract practice, aka SNI Certes®. His focus is on growth both in terms of geographic locations and consultants on billing. His recipe is simple: recruit and retain the best people, and do whatever it takes to improve the lives of consultants and clients alike.

Darren’s hobbies include real estate investment, capital market study, running, boating, and playing taxi for his three kids. He has a side “gig” as lead singer of a Minneapolis based alt-rock band.


Brandy Kerby

Brandy Kerby

Brandy has been in the staffing industry for over 10 years. She began her staffing career at Robert Half Technology in their Jacksonville, FL contract placement division. Prior to her tenure with Robert Half Technology, she worked as an analyst, project manager and led a development team at a professional services firm. Brandy has been a top performer in a variety of roles in the staffing industry including: business development, technical recruiting, on-site vendor management and progressive leadership positions. Brandy currently manages SNI Companies Jacksonville, FL location and leads SNI Technology’s Florida operations. Her priority is simply to progress the careers of those on her team, the professionals SNI represent and to best serve our business partners.

Chris Slingerland

Chris’s professional experience includes 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership, business development, recruiting, and sales management. Chris began his career as a top-producing BMW sales professional. He then spent five years in the mortgage industry working up to a Branch Manager position with Ascella Mortgage, prior to beginning a career in staffing. Most recently, Chris worked at Robert Half for the past six years, earning the title of AVP. While at RHI, Chris specialized in turning around underperforming branches while also functioning as a top producer. Chris is a leader with a strong track record of success in building successful staffing teams. Chris believes in rolling his sleeves up, driving the business and leading by example.

Chris Knowles comes with 13 years of experience in the staffing industry and over 20 years of experience in recruiting, sales, and management. He started his staffing career at Robert Half International as a Financial Services Group Staffing Manager and quickly climbed up the corporate ladder to become their Regional Vice President. During his time there, he gained deep knowledge of the industry and helped lead his teams in the fast-paced environment. Chris has successfully recruited and developed many individuals and teams recognized as top producers and leaders across the organizations he has worked with. In August 2015 he joined SNI Companies where he currently oversees the operations, sales management, and recruiting functions for the Illinois offices. Chris’ commitment to the company and his employees, along with his experience and knowledge in the industry, makes him a natural born leader.


Jodi Jaiman

Jodi Jaiman

Jodi has been in the staffing industry for nearly 17 years. Her professional experience includes her consistently functioning in lead capacities including management, mentoring, metrics and reporting, account management, training and procedures development. Jodi has conquered an assortment of roles within the staffing industry including full production, training and coaching, and an ability to excel at building mutually beneficial working partnerships with candidates, colleagues and clients. Her success has been built on her demonstrated dedication to her customers as well as her compassion and commitment to her candidates. She joined SNI Companies in 2016 and currently oversees the operations, sales and management, as well as recruiting functions for offices in the Mid Atlantic.
